Fernando Alonso made a strong start this season. The Spaniard climbed on every podium thus far with his two victories and one second place. To stay ahead of the competition Alonso believes the key to success will be the development of the cars throughout the season.




Asked what will be the key factor in the coming races Alonso said:

"The development of the cars. We are in a strong situation, and we know that the team that develops most, with a strong finish to the year, will probably be champions. The drivers have a role too, because we need to tell the engineers where the car has to improve, which is what we are doing at the moment."

Alonso believes he is still fighting with three other teams.

"Ferrari, McLaren and Honda are all good enough to win races, and we need to work hard if we want to beat them,"

he said.
