BMW PIT LANE ON STREET
If you are heading to Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix next weekend, you might want to check out the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park, which will be open to the public.
No, that doesn't mean you can go pit-side at the track.
The pit-lane replica will be set up in downtown Montreal, adjacent to the Bell Centre at Boul. René Levesque and Rue Drummond.
It will be open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Spanning 5,400 square-metres, with a capacity of up to 1,400 visitors at a time, it features authentic BMW Sauber F1 Team pit garages and a 90-metre-long stretch of track leading to a 23-metre turning area flanked by grandstands.
The star of the show, of course, is the BMW Sauber F1.06 Formula 1 race car, which will be powered up throughout the day to give fans up-close access to the sound, speed and dynamics of the sport.
